• Preparation of annual zonal plan with the assistance of subject administrative officers and reporting the progress at the Progress Review Meetings .
  

• In Charge of the theme 4 sector development and presentation of the progress.
  

• Identify and report school planning needs.
  

• Distribution and supervision of quality inputs and reporting the progress to the zonal director twice a year.
  

• Pilling, Updating and Analyzing zonal education office data and forwarding to the relevant sections.
  

• Reporting the excess and deficiency of teachers to the zonal director .
  

• Analyzing results of public examinations at school , divisional and zonal level.

• Implementing  programmes to uplift the standard of schools.
  

• Activities regarding English medium schools.
  

• Board of survey related to the section and answering to the Provincial and Parliamentary queries.

Pilling, Updating and Analyzing zonal education office data and forwarding to the relevant sections. Pilling up school addresses, Telephone numbers, distance to the office and teacher categories according to the subjects. Updating school data regarding teacher and students population and physical resources, collecting data of the zone including data of the principals , SLEAS officers, ISA s , non academic and the academic staff . Updating the information in the school list and maintaining the website. Analyzing results including GCE (A/L) , GCE (O/L) and scholarship exams.
